How to Maintain the Dehumidifier Regularly?

Applied dehumidifiers in a sealed space preferably

Close the doors and windows of the room that needs dehumidification, and try to form a relatively closed space, which can effectively reduce the entry of outdoor humid air, and the dehumidification effect will be better. This is the same as closing the doors and windows when opening the air conditioner in summer.

Dehumidifiers must be kept upright for 6 hours before operating

Preair, as a reliable dehumidifier manufacturer, reminds you: if you can ensure that it is not skewed or upside down during transportation and handling, it can be used immediately. Otherwise, it is best to let the newly purchased dehumidifier sit for 4-6 hours before turning it on.

Fluctuations in delivery and delivery can cause displacement of refrigerant within the compressor. If it is turned on immediately, the compressor may not work properly, or the machine may be running, but the dehumidification power is poor and the noise is very loud.

The purpose of the static dehumidifier is to return the refrigerant in the compressor to its original position, and it can be used normally after returning to its original position. If the commercial dehumidifier needs to be moved during use, it must be ensured that the inclination angle of the transfer is not greater than 45°, so that there is no need to stand after each transfer.

When using a dehumidifier, choose a relatively flat, hard floor and place it on a thick cloth or cork pad to prevent sound or vibration.

Clean the filter of dehumidifiers regularly

The filter screen of the dehumidifier should be cleaned regularly to avoid fouling and blockage, which will cause the air intake to be unsmooth and reduce the dehumidification effect.

To clean the air filter, you can pat it gently or use an electric vacuum cleaner to clean it. If the filter screen is too dirty, it can be washed with water or neutral detergent, but it should not be washed with hot water above 50 ℃ to avoid deformation. Do not use a sponge to clean it, otherwise, it will damage the appearance of the filter.

After rinsing with clean water, put it in a cool place to air dry. Do not expose it to the sun or beside the stove to avoid deformation.

Install the air-dried air filter back to its original position, and the entire indoor dehumidifier maintenance process is completed.

When cleaning the filter, make sure that the power of the machine has been unplugged to avoid safety problems.

If the filter is aged or damaged, it needs to be replaced with a new one. Do not use it without a filter. There are different types of dehumidifiers in the market, and they adopt various filters made of different materials. Take Preair dehumidifiers for example, the SUS304 filter adopted by the LGR155 flood dehumidifier can be easily removed and washed. The MERV11 filter adopted by the PRO500 dehumidifier for greenhouse can filter fine particles that needs to be changed constantly.

Professionally inspect dehumidifiers regularly

After the dehumidifier has been used for a long time, the electrical circuits and control components in the unit will be aged to varying degrees. In severe cases, it will cause damage to the unit and the human body. Regularly ask professionals to check the circuit of the dehumidifier and replace the aging components. Supplementing coolant can prevent the aging of components from causing harm to the unit and human body so that the Preair dehumidifier is in good working condition.
